THE EQUINE INDUSTRY IN BC
The equine industry is complex and diverse. HCBC strives to provide the most up-to-date information on issues affecting horse people. HCBC sits on the Board of BC Agriculture Council and BC Farm Animal Care Council as well as liaises with the BCVC, and Provincial ministries.
HCBC’s programs encompass:
- Environmental issues
- Bio security
- Disaster preparedness
- Premise ID
- Welfare
HCBC members and volunteers help with the success of these programs. Breed associations can join as Affiliate Members of HCBC , which allows these groups an opportunity to voice their concerns and sit on the Board of Directors.
