WHAT IS A ZONE AGM?
Each Zone must hold an annual general meeting (AGM) at least 30 days before the AGM of Horse Council BC. The Zone Councils were established to encourage Zone and local activities in each of the Society in eight (8) geographic areas of the Province designated BC Games.
Each of the Zones elect (two) 2 senior members as delegates to the HCBC board of directors for alternate two year terms. Individual members residing in each Zone and Club Members within the Zone shall be members of the Zone Council. Each such voting member shall be entitled to one (1) vote at meetings of the Zone Council. All senior HCBC members in good standing are eligible to be nominated as a Zone Director to the HCBC board of directors at the Zone AGM. An election shall be held at the the Zone AGM if needed.
All Horse Council BC members from the Zone are Zone Council Members. This is your opportunity to talk to the HCBC directors that represent your area on the HCBC board of directors. You will have an opportunity to get information on Horse Council programs, give feedback to your directors. We hope to see you at your Zone meeting this year!
