Horse Council BC is committed to offering the best possible service for competition organizers and competitors. HCBC is recognized by Sport BC as the provincial sport body for equestrian. HCBC administers and supports grass roots competition development. BC is the only province in Canada to have equestrian participation in the multi-sport BC Summer Games.

Competition Awards Program

The HCBC provincial awards program recognizes well run competitions, hardworking volunteers, and junior competitors who show good sportsmanship. HCBC strives to keep the welfare of the horse in the forefront through educational programs. The competitions department provides officials development opportunities. We work within the scope of the National discipline groups criteria. HCBC has a successful provincial official’s development program that meets the highest standards of accepted education.
