Visit us at The Mane Event from October 20 – 27, 2017

It’s the end of Summer and that means the Mane Event, Chilliwack is just around the corner!

Elevate your riding skills and learn how to communicate better with your horse at the upcoming Mane Event, Equine Education and Trade Fair October 20-27, 2017 at the Chilliwack Heritage Park in Chilliwack, BC. Horse owners and enthusiasts are in for a treat at this very diversified horse expo. The Mane Event is very proud of their commitment to providing the very best equine related education, shopping and entertainment all at one location.

The Mane Event has been hosting equine expos for 14 years in Western Canada.  Their mission is to educate, strengthen and unite the equine community and industry.

Make sure your experience includes a stop by the Horse Council BC booth #613. Horse Council BC is proud to the be an Arena Sponsor at The Mane Event.

Come Learn From The Best in the Industry

The mini-clinics this year include some of the best equine educators and clinicians available in a variety of disciplines:

  • Michel Vaillancourt – Jumping
  • Mette Rosencrantz – Dressage
  • Garn Walker – Cowboy Dressage
  • Evan Bonner – Horsemanship
  • Connie Combs – Barrel Racing
  • Jim Masterson – Equine Massage

The education-based Trainers Challenge is set to be a good one this year with Ben Baldus from Texas, Dan Keen from BC and Severin Pederson from Texas, working with young Quarter Horses.  The trainers will work with these colts for Friday and Saturday and then ride them in an obstacle course on Sunday – the goal of the Trainers Challenge is to have everyone learn, including the trainers.

Attendees will also be enlightened by a variety of presenters in the lecture area on equine nutrition, equine behaviour, and much more!

The Horse Fun Continues on Saturday Night

Also, be sure not to miss the Friday night Youth Pro-Am  held in the main arena at 7:00pm. This is an event that teams youth riders and their horses up with one of the clinicians to ride a timed obstacle course. When the concept was first introduced at last year’s Red Deer Mane Event, the demand to bring it back was very high so here it is again! There is no cost to ride in this competition and prize packages will be offered. Applications are available on the Mane Event website and it is limited to youth riders only.

After you have shopped and learned from some of the very best in the equine world today, it’s time to relax and enjoy some great entertainment in the “Equine Experience”! This popular event is held in the main arena on Saturday evening starting at 8:15pm.

Shop ‘Till You Drop!

What would a horse expo be without shopping? In the trade show, you will see a diverse group of vendors from across the USA and Canada with only equine products and services, western clothing, equine décor and home furnishings for horse owners and enthusiasts.

This is a weekend jam-packed with equine education, fun, knowledge and shopping.  Tickets are available on our website in advance (which will save you some money) or at the door – plan now for 3-days of nothing but horses, horses, horses!

About the Mane Event

The Mane Event, Equine Education and Trade Fair is a family owned and operated business that hosts equine expos in British Columbia, Alberta, and has recently expanded to Ontario and Scottsdale, Arizona.  We have been in operation since 2004 and started simply because we wanted to educate ourselves and our friends on the many aspects of horse training and the many disciplines available.  We have owned horses for over 40 years and our two daughters still ride and show competitively. Our goal is to ensure that attendees and exhibitors feel the family atmosphere of the expo, and that attendees feel that they have learned some new things to try with their horses.  As horse owners and business owners we are committed to growing and uniting the horse industry.
