BITS & BITTING

Course Description:

Which bits are right for you and your horse. English and Western bits, styles, sizes & sizing, feel, and points of pressure. Good for the new rider to the experienced rider. Approx. 45 min long.

Course Description:

Equestrian and motorists, both need to understand, learn and practice the facts and rules of the road. Good for anyone who wants to ride on the road.

Course Description:

Discusses vaccines and their use in the horses, and considers the factors that are important when designing a vaccination program appropriate for your horse. Approx. 45 minutes long.

Course Description:

MANURE MANAGEMENT

Course Description:

More horse owners are becoming aware that raising and maintaining horses can have a negative impact on the environment. Many practices in place on horse farms from confinement areas to manure management must be reviewed with an intent to reduce waste into the environment. A must read for anyone that has their own farm.

WATER MANAGEMENT

Course Description:

Water. At one time good clean water was a given. So just what is involved with the concept of Good Clean Water? If you own your own farm or your horse drinks from natural sources you should read this.

Course Description:

PARA-EQUESTRIAN

Course Description:

Para-Equestrian is a sport for riders with a disability that has been a Paralympic sport since 1996 and became the 8th FEI discipline in 2006. It is widely practiced throughout the world. Riders are assigned a “classification” from grade 1A to 4 based on their functional ability, which may include the use of compensatory aids. This is a good description of para-equestrian sport and what it involves.

NUTRITION 101

Course Description:

The 5 basic needs that a horse owner will need to supply as part of a horse’s diet:  Water, energy (carbohydrate + fat,) protein, vitamins and minerals. This course is a great way to learn how the horse uses engergy and protein and how we should feed it. A good start in equine nutrition.

FIRST HORSE

Course Description:

Buying your first horse is an exciting and challenging time. When you have decided to buy a horse, you have only made the first of many decisions on the pathway to horse ownership.

PARASITE CONTROL

Course Description:

This course covers: Parasite control terminology, important equine parasites, prevention and control. This is a good start on parasites for the first owner. Approx. 30-45 min long.

Course Description:

Hoof Care For Horse Owners, is well written course that covers in detail all the basics of this vital aspect of your horse. Good information for the beginner and an in-depth refresher for the experienced! Approx. 45 min to 1 hour long.

CORE STRENGTH

Course Description:

Fitness for riding and riders. A well rounded fitness program for riders is too often overlooked. Learn how to be in the best condition to get the most out of riding. You will need an exercise/stability ball to complete the exercises.

If you have a membership but are having trouble signing in and the reset help is not working (wrong email etc.) please call the office to get set up.
