Langley BC – August 22, 2018

Over the past 9 months, Horse Council has performed an extensive review of our Constitution and By-laws. Changes to the Constitution and new Bylaws have been drafted for Member’s approval in order for Horse Council to be compliant with the New BC Societies Act by the November 28th deadline. On August 21st, Horse Council BC held a General Meeting to allow Senior Members in good standing to cast their vote on the proposed changes. With that, mail-in ballots were also collected and counted, and we are happy to announce that the changes have been accepted and will be effective when filed with the registrar.

Thank you to our Bylaw Steering Committee for all their hard work, and to all the members who attended the meeting or cast their vote by mail. You can view the now accepted changes here: https://hcbc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Horse-Council-BC-Constitution-and-Bylaws-PROPOSED-V2018_08_21.pdf
